As the winter holidays grow closer, the students get more squeamish by the day. Most of my students seem to have lost intrest in their Potions classes within the last few days. And the work they turn in to me is simply ghastly. How do they plan to pass any class if they turn in this garbage! Enough papers liek this and any teacher would have clearence for suicide. I wouldn't do that to any of my students though. Well, now I have to go grade these horrible papers.

9:36 pm - Winter Holidays
|
I love winter holidays. The homework loads build up and the students have an extra delight in learning. Makes my heart turn cool. It is so wonderful to be back, fully functional in my own classroom.
The only downfall right now is that there hasn't been any reason to give detention recently. Maybe I'll have to change that.

Hello again, everyone. Y'all know that Brandon quit the RPG. He's given me Snape's journal but it might be a few more days before he shows up again b/c I'm having trouble with downloading AIM+. I'll have to find another way to be two characters until then (obviously). I'm hoping to have this down within the month, but I make no promises.

8:14 pm - Concerns of the Order
|
-Detention with Colin Creevey was fun, as always. I just stared at him the whole time, wondering how he got that small and irritating. Is it illegal to curse the irritating out of him? It would benefit everyone. I'll have to give him detention again sometime.
-Moody's worried that Creevey's a spy for Voldemort. A cock and bull story, but it would be funny to see the child taken down by an auror.

-It has come to my attention that when confronted by members of the staff or faculty as of late, many students have been exceedingly obstinate in following instructions, accepting criticisms, or even responding amicably. I would like to remind students that disrespectful behavior of any kind toward an adult at Hogwarts is strictly prohibited and will be punished accordingly. It will be noted that when a student is issued a punishment, a decision has been made by the faculty collectively, even if the entire faculty is not present, and this decision is considered final. Any dispute arising from the decision that may lead to disrespectful conversation between the student and teacher will result in compounded punishment, in accordance with the continued disturbance.

10:39 am - Today's events
|
-A special presentation of Detention will be appearing in my office this afternoon, starring Ginny Weasley, Ron Weasley, and any other Weasley's wishing to participate. All are welcome to attend and enjoy!
-An APB is being issued for the student that flashed me this week. Points may be awarded to the house of the student that can identify him.

8:26 pm - An unsettling confrontation
|
-I was confronted in the halls in the late evening by an unidentified student, who inquired why I am "such a dick". Points would have been taken from the student's house, if not for the student's complete lack of clothing, preventing me from identifying him, and in my inebriated state I neglected to pursue the matter any further at the time. This is, of course, more than a minor dress code violation and the student in question is requested to come forward immediately. The matter of whether or not I am a "dick", and the degree to which I may or may not be, is under consideration.

7:06 pm - Addressing concerns
|
-The Order has been informed of a recent sighting of Lucius Malfoy in London, at the request of a student. While the Order is abundantly aware of Malfoy's suspicious behavior, I consider it particularly disturbing and a noteworthy matter to be considered. Also of concern is this student's knowledge and open mentioning of the Order. No disciplinary action was taken against the student at this time, but future, less tactful manners of discussion will be dealt with expeditiously.
-Potions class for 2nd year Ravenclaws was interrupted today by a misguided owl. After questioning it was determined that the owl neither belonged nor was delivering mail to any of the students present.

12:11 am - Regarding my return
|
-After nearly a week in neurological rehabilitation in the hospital wing, I have returned to my quarters and various duties about the castle. Potions lessons have resumed and the children couldn't be more delighted to have their old teacher back in the classroom.
-A confrontation initiated by a Gryffindor student recently in the halls resulted in a deduction of 5 points from the Gryffindor house.
-First potions lesson upon my return was not received well by the Gryffindor students. The possibility of a mass dyslexia charm having been cast on the house was suggested (by me), and is currently under investigation.
-Two Hufflepuff students misinterpreted the preparation of an elementary transfiguration potion and created a universal solvent, which dissolved through its container, counter top, and 4 floors of the castle. Damages were minor and no disciplinary action was taken.

1:44 am - Woe.
|
Darkness swept over the Dude.
-I haven't left my chambers for days. I've done something unforgivable. I hate myself. I've been taking my meals in here, alone. I cast a spell on my mirror so that see a swamp ape whenever I look in it. I've been neglecting my classes. Students haven't learned potions in days. Won't somebody save me?
